How Does Our Interpretations In Life Have An Impact On Our Daily Choices?

I was listening to a podcast onthe topic of self-help the other day and a though by the podcaster grabbed my mind.

She said:

"Ease doesn't come with choosing the things the easy way out. Ease comes overtime when we do the difficult things over and over again as much they become easy."

Meanwhile the basic idea about this sentence sounds true to me, it made me think of the small details in it, which subconsciously could send us a messege which can make our life harder than necessary.

The 20+ years of path on self-awareness, spiritual growth and self-development i realised that small neuances of our speech can be really impactful on how we live our life.

I recognised that we, human beings are very easily get 'lost in translation', even if it is in our own native language.

Interpretation of things what are being said and even of excperiences that are happening carry an immense amount of emotional meaning, what shapes our beliefs unknowingly. And these beliefs are the most powerful forces in ourselves why we go for one choice, for not another all in all, in our decision making process. Wether we are aware of them or not.

So let's get back to the sentence above to clarify what i wish to say here.

"Ease doesn't come with choosing the things with the easy way out. Ease comes overtime when we do the difficult things over and over again as much they become easy."

When you hear such a line and it gets to stick with you because you find it to be true, it can give you the belief that you can get to ease only by working superhard for things.

This statement almost equivalent with the belief that

'only hard work can give you money'.

What makes me say this?

Ease is a state. A state of mind/body.

Easy is the approach how you are able to manage tasks in the sentence above.

When we say 'ease doesn't come with choosing the easy way' and we believe it to be true, we will explain the events that happens to us likewise.

This results in 2 outcomes how we will look at our life events:

  1. When we will experience ease during our work we will automatically believe that we need to choose a more difficult path because we are not doing the right thing.

  2. You will expect that doing a lot of hard stuff will conclude in the state of ease.

And actually none of them will lead you to a place where you would rather be, because the whole statement is mixing up things that are not straighly connected with each other.

  1. Doing hard work can be done in the state of ease. - believe it or not, this is true. Just because something is difficult it doesn't mean you cannot experience it on a light manner. Having a challanging task needs attention, focus and using the necessary skills with added effort, surely. But ease doesn't have to be put aside just because of that. If you don't think about the situation death seriously, rather you take it as a game, ease can be with you right from the beginning.

  2. If you do not understand that ease does not come neither from doing tough or nor easy things, but it comes from how seriously you take yourself during the process, you will be trapped in the wrong idea and so you cannot get to the feeling of ease. Instead you will be locked in creating yourself heavy burdens in your life.

It is true that things we do not know takes time and more effort to learn at the beginning and the more we do them the easier they become.

But it does not equates ease.

What i see, that most people who are not able to be present in what they do, when something gets easy after the challange, it gets boring to them. They know what to do and they cannot enjoy being lost in the process. They can't be 'mindful'.

There is no ease in boredom.

Ease is in your attitude, when you know how to play with the situations including new challanges.

Ease is your choice any time, when you decide to give upnon all the limiting beliefs on your mind and play out all you have in the present moment, the way you can do and enjoy yourself in the process.

All in all the takeaway for this blogpost is the following:

Always be aware what you let yourself to believe in!

What you allow yourself to believe is going to become the boundary between the possibilities and impossibilites in your life. Whether you are aware of it or not, each of your belief either empowers you or stops you from becoming the person who you truly could be in the moment if you would let you be yourself as you are.
